Shortcuts are links which provide quick access to files, applications or settings. SureLock provides a way to create and launch shortcuts for system settings, documents & applications on its home screen.

Accept New Shortcuts

Accept New Shortcuts option once enabled, will allow SureLock to automatically import shortcuts from the device home screen to SureLock Home Screen and vice versa.

Add Shortcut

Add Shortcut will give you following options:

  • Add Settings Shortcut
  • Add App Shortcut
  • Test Shortcut

Add Settings Shortcut

Add Settings Shortcut option allows shortcut of a setting on SureLock Home Screen.

To add a new settings shortcut, follow steps mentioned below:

  1. Access SureLock Settings
  2. On Admin Setting screen, tap on Manage Shortcuts
  3. On Manage Shortcuts screen, tap on Add Shortcut
  4. Next screen, tap on Add Settings Shortcut to launch Shortcuts for Android Settings prompt
  5. Shortcuts for Android Settings will launch a list of available settings to select from
  6. Browse and select the setting from the Shortcuts for Android Settings list
  7. Once a setting shortcut is selected, following fields automatically gets populated:
  • Shortcut Name
  • Icon
  • Action
  • Category
  • Package Name
  • Class Name
  • URI
  • Extras
  • Flags
  • Password: Set a password, if you want to password protect the access to shortcut.
  • Restart app on relaunch
  • Launch at Startup
  • Hide Icon on Home Screen
  • Current Path
  • Activity/Broadcast: For sending SureLock Broadcasts for special functions.
  1. Tap on Save to complete

Test Shortcut

Use Test Shortcut option to test the shortcut before saving it in SureLock.
