Akshay Patra
42Gears partners with the Akshaya Patra Foundation, an NGO based in Bengaluru, India, that focuses on providing healthy mid-day meals to children across India. 42Gears support directly enables over 2,500 children across 36 schools to receive healthy mid-day meals daily.
42Gears partnership with the Akshaya Patra Foundation is one of our longest-standing partnerships, and we are very proud of the progress Akshaya Patra has made in fulfilling its guiding mission:
“No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger.”
Team 42Gears shares Akshay Patra’s vision of coping with classroom hunger and enrolling children in schools by feeding them daily. In 2021, team 42Gears reached out to Akshay Patra to help them distribute happiness and Raksha kits in schools. This small effort ensures that underprivileged children remain fed and healthy during these difficult times.
Aster Hospital
42Gears is proud to partner with Aster DM Healthcare to support six children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with their medical treatments and surgery costs.
Aster DM Healthcare extends primary care services through its network of neighborhood clinics and pharmacies, as well as provides community beneficial programmes through its various CSR initiatives.
Aster Hopsital and Narayana Hrudayalaya
Team 42Gears had a humbling experience meeting kids in need of care at Aster Hospital and Narayana Hrudayalaya, spending quality time with them, talking to their families, and sending out a message of hope, courage, and the promise to be by their side to help them fight through tough times. Our CSR team took time to understand the families’ need for funds to fuel their children’s medical treatment, and we had the privilege of funding part of the treatment that, we believe, will make a positive difference in their lives.
BIRDS
42Gears is proud to partner with BIRDS, a community development organization that works towards the upliftment of marginalized communities of women, children, youth, farmers, domestic workers, refugees, and Rohingya Muslims in Bangalore's urban and rural.
To help BIRDS achieve their goal of providing clean drinking water to school students located in villages, 42Gears has provided an RO water purifier to the Government High School and Primary School at Hasigala village near Hoskota.
BIRDS actively provides women empowerment programs, skill training programs for marginalized women to help themselves & sustain their livelihood, and entrepreneurship training to enrich their skills and self-reliance of women.
Government School
Team 42Gears spent a full day with students of the Government School of S.Bingipura, Karnataka. This day-long program included conducting a health checkup for 114 children, a menstrual hygiene awareness session, a small talk on 'Good Touch, Bad Touch', and ensuring that all the children enjoyed a hearty Akshaya Patra lunch.
Mathru Education Trust
42Gears has partnered with Mathru Education Trust to provide blind students and students with special needs with uniforms, blankets, notebooks, and school bags.
For over 23 years, Mathru Education Trust has actively supported the education of blind students and children with special needs through their residential school and higher studies programs. Since its inception, Mathru Education Trust has helped over 200 blind students pass their 10th Standard Board Examination and now supports blind adults pursuing their college or competitive exam preparations by providing educational books in Braille.
