Job description
- To plan, write, edit, and revise technical information and documents, including user manuals, general overviews, configuration/installation instructions, and product specifications.
- Collaborate with the team of technical writers and facilitate coordination with product and QA teams and other stakeholders.
- Study and evaluate the user feedback to propose enhancements to documentation.
- Experience in technical writing for MDM products is an added advantage for this position.
- Assessing the audience and the nature of the documentation required.
- Researching and gathering the information required through hands-on.
- Presenting the information according to the user’s needs
- Apply style guides and authoring checklists to maintain documentation quality
- Work with other writers, Product Managers, and the service/marketing team and stakeholders to identify gaps in documentation of functionality and complete the required documentation
- Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others, ensuring a consistent “look and feel.
Skills
- 0-2 years of experience as a Technical Writer.
- Proficient in authoring tools like Google Docs, MS Office Suite (including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel), and help authoring tools like MadCap Flare or HelpNDoc, Gitlab, Visual Studio Code, Markdown, and the basics of HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of UEM or MDM space is an added advantage.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to write conceptual, task-oriented, and reference documentation.
- Experience writing according to a style guide and to meet authoring requirements
- Well organized and able to operate independently.
- Good planner and systematic organizer.
- Willingness to learn about new products and technologies.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
