Disable or Hide Android Bottom Bar without Rooting on Samsung Galaxy Tablets

No lockdown of Android device is complete without disabling or hiding the Bottom Bar. This bar at the bottom of the device screen gives the user easy access to Recent Applications and sometimes to Device Settings, hence allowing the end user to tamper the system settings.

With SureLock, effective disabling or hiding of Bottom Bar on Samsung device with Android OS Jellybean, KitKat and Lollipop can be achieved.

Disable Bottom Bar

To disable Bottom Bar on the device, all you have to do is to install SureLock and follow below steps:

1. Access SureLock Settings by tapping 5 times anywhere on SureLock Home Screen within 3 seconds.

2. On SureLock Admin Settings screen, tap SureLock Settings.

3. On SureLock Settings screen, you will find Disable Bottom Bar.

4. Tap Disable Bottom Bar which will disable all the shortcuts in the bottom bar of the device.

5. Tap Done to complete.

This will ensure that Bottom Bar is disabled once the user goes back to SureLock Home Screen.

Hide Bottom Bar

In order to hide Bottom Bar on the device, download and install SureLock and follow the below steps.

1. Access SureLock Settings by tapping 5 times anywhere on SureLock Home Screen within 3 seconds.

2. On SureLock Admin Settings screen, tap SureLock Settings.

3. In SureLock Settings screen, tap Hide Bottom Bar to completely hide the bottom bar.

Note: Ensure Samsung KNOX Settings option is enabled under SureLock Admin Settings.

4. Tap Done to complete.

This will ensure that Bottom Bar is hidden once the user goes back to SureLock Home screen.
