Remotely configure SureFox iOS settings using SureMDM

New EMM feature in SureMDM now allows you to perform a whole range of remote activities. A very important one being able to remotely install an application and configure its settings.

SureFox, the signature web kiosk application from 42Gears can be remotely installed on an iOS device and configured using just a few steps.

To remotely install SureFox and configure its settings using SureMDM, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. Select the device from the Device List

3. Once device selected, click on EMM on the top bar

4. On EMM page, select iOS and then Add

5. On iOS Profile page, click on Install Application Profile and then Configure

6. Next, click on Add 

7. On Install Application prompt, select the appropriate option Enterprise or App Store and search for SureFox

8. Once SureFox is added, click on Configure

9. On Configure window, give Key as SettingsXML 

10. Copy Plist (download a copy of plist here) and paste in Value textbox

11. Make required changes and Save

12. Go back to SureMDM Home Screen and push the profile to the selected device using Apply option

To remotely configure SureFox if it is already installed, follow below mentioned steps:

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console

2. Select the device from the Device List

3. Once device selected, click on EMM on the top bar

4. On EMM page, select iOS and then Add

5. On iOS Profile page, click on Configuration Profile

6. Next, click on Add

7. On Application Configuration prompt, select SureFox from App Name dropdown menu

8. Give Key as SettingsXML 

9. Next, copy Plist provided in attachment and paste in Value textbox

10. Make required changes

11. Click on Save and push the profile to the selected device using Apply option on SureMDM Home Screen

This same process can be followed if you want to remotely configure or changes settings of any app using SureMDM. The only thing you need to make sure is that the app should have been installed using SureMDM’s Install Application Profile option.
