42Gears’s Journey to Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for UEM Tools 2018
Août 27, 2018 | 42Gears Team
42Gears has made it to 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Endpoint Management Tools as a Visionary. We believe this recognition comes at a critical point in 42Gears’s journey towards UEM market dominance as it affirms the roadmap and vision which 42Gears has set for itself.
This is the first Magic Quadrant by Gartner on UEM Tools. It has come a long way from the first Mobile Device Management Software Magic Quadrant report that was published by Gartner in 2011. In 2014, this category benchmark was upgraded to the Enterprise Mobility Management Suites (EMM). We believe the change in description of enterprise mobility technologies by Gartner is a reflection of the evolving modern day management requirements, defined by the expansion of OSs, devices and more. The overlay of the last few Magic Quadrants gives an insight into the changes happening in the industry, as different mobility categories change, shift, converge and expand.
As per Gartner, UEM refers to a new class of tools that can act as a single management interface for mobile, PC and other devices. Gartner recommends I&O leaders to expect and plan to replace enterprise mobility management and client management tools with UEM to support modern OSs.
We believe the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant provides a comprehensive look at the key UEM technology providers and their innovations. I&O pros will find this information useful as they plan for the future digital workplace transformation requirements of their organization.
We believe the key UEM technology innovations that fuelled 42Gears’s journey to be a Visionary in the Gartner MQ report include:
- Virtual Assistant Chabot for UEM – An integration of Artificial Intelligence into UEM technology by launching ‘DeepThought’, a Virtual Assistant Chatbot for 42Gears UEM platform. SureMDM is the only UEM solution that offers AI-powered Virtual Assistant to manage devices, using natural language understanding and machine learning.
- iOS Screen Sharing – Our UEM is the first solution that offered native iOS Screen Sharing support for iPhone and iPad. It makes use of iOS 11’s ability to record and broadcast screen in real-time to remotely troubleshoot issues and provide training to users.
- 42Gears UEM Analytics Engine – 42Gears UEM Analytics Rule Engine enables data capture, storage and analysis for our customers to deliver smart business insights. The Analytics Rule Engine can help companies make informed decisions regarding their IT asset management strategies and automate anomaly detection. It uses big data technology and can perform Mobile Device, App Usage and IoT Data Analytics.
- Full Support for Android Enterprise – 42Gears offers best-of-breed Android Enterprise support capabilities. Some of the most salient features added were silent app installation, remote device tracking and managing multiple user profiles on single shared device.
- Wearable Management Solution – Support for Android Wearables released in May 2017 enables enterprises to lockdown and remotely manage the devices, making them enterprise ready. Recently, 42Gears expanded its offering to include support for Application Management for Android based wearables, allowing enterprises to manage Android Wear OS apps from 42Gears UEM console.
- Support for Linux-based Raspberry Pi – Support for Linux-based IoT gateway was another breakthrough in supporting enterprise IoT deployments. Businesses can manage IoT deployments that include sensors and small handheld devices connected to gateways such as Mozilla Web of Things and Raspberry Pi.
